Resolution Update

I just finished the book "Eat, Pray, Love" by Elizabeth Gilbert.  I know I am arriving a little late to the party on this one, but it's virtually impossible for me to read these days.  My only chance during this season of my life to start and finish a book, is to listen to an audiobook.  So, I downloaded it from ITunes onto my IPhone and have been stealing away moments here and there over the past week desperate to finish so I can allow myself to watch the movie.  This concept is strange to me since I am typically not a "read it before you watch it" kind of person, but for some reason, I got it in my head that I just had to read this book.  I'm so glad I did because I feel such a sense of accomplishment for having completed the task, for one thing, and such a deeper sense of connection to my budding Yoga practice and the deep rooted sense of joy and gratitude that is burning warmly in my soul lately.

I know I've only been living my 2011 Resolutions for two months, but I have already noticed a measurable difference in every aspect of my self.

The diet has helped my mental clarity and focus noticeably, and has also caused me to lose 10 pounds.  I am wearing jeans I only dreamt of wearing two months ago!  Getting organized and making a good plan for every day has helped me to be so much more productive, and my new practice of Yoga has introduced me to my core...literally and figuratively.  I can actually feel that I have stomach muscles in there, my flexibility has improved tremendously, and I feel very grounded...fulfilled...joyful...connected.  Mr. Coffee has upheld his end of the bargain and churns out a perfectly nice cappuccino for me every day.  It feels so good to have a handle on that Starbucks addiction.  After dragging my feet as long as possible, I started my decluttering efforts this past weekend by helping Harrison organize and sort through some of his toys.  We are making a big box of give-aways!  I'm getting warmed up with the kids stuff, as you can see.  Is that wrong?  We'll be doing their clothes next:)

Every day reveals new opportunities to create, whether it's making Valentine's with my kiddos or coming up with a last minute way to cook venison when I realize I'm out of the oil I thought I'd be chicken-frying it in. You just never know what's coming your way, baby...it's all in how you look at it!

How are you doing with your resolutions so far this year?  I'd love to hear about them!
